I wear glasses and it is true. Mabye not for ones who can't see things close, but I can't see things that are in the distance so when I don't wear them my concetracion just get so low and I can't hear or see like I should

I just got glasses a couple years back, and when I finally got them, I realized that everything I had been seeing before had been so blurry and bleeding and grey. I don't really mean everywhere that I seem to go was actually grey but, more blended and less sharp. When I put on my new glasses for the first time, everything seemed clearer and bigger and better. That may have been what she meant. Not physically louder, just...more.

I swear sometimes I have to put on my glasses to talk on the phone... my friends always laugh when I do that, but maybe you mom has got a point lol

It sounds crazy but yes, i do think wearing glasses improves hearing. Mainly because when one sense is weakened (in this case eyesight) another sense improves itself (in this case hearing) to make up for the weakened sense!

I have glasses, and it's actually true! You hear much better with your glasses on - I think it has something to do with you actually being able so see the person who is talking :)

in wear glasses permanently and when I don't have them on I really struggle to hear! I think its subconscious cuz its because I can't look at their lips while they talk (but I can't lipread - there's the subconscious bit)
Emma Langdon
I took my glasses off and then put then back on again... can't say I noticed a change in volume...
