A little ambient guitar sketch with no transients whatsoever...
I am using a patch that I built in Guitar Rig 5. I typically use Amplitube for my guitar work, but I've been finding it very difficult to get a nice long ambient wash with Amplitube. I've discovered that it has to do with the modules currently available in Amplitube and it's structured setup.
Basically, there are no reverb pedals except for the Fender '63 Reverb. This is a spring and is not capable of nice long decays. I find that to get an ambient tone, you need to feed a long reverb into a delay. With Amplitube you just can't do that.
Guitar Rig's modules, however, can be placed in any order whatsoever leaving you free to have verbs and delays wherever you want, before and/or after the amp.
