Have you ever really wanted to do something but every time you even thought about doing it you just got stuck? Most people will give up on their dreams before they even try. It’s not because we’re lazy or incapable. It’s because we’ve got ghosts in our way. Some are haunted by the ghost of public humiliation, rejection, failure or even success. All are terrifying, but the only thing more terrifying than ghosts is not trying.

We can be ghostbusters if we’re willing to ‘have the courage to have the courage’ to look our ghosts in the eye and break free from the shackles that hold us back. Our ghosts do not define us, in fact, they can empower and fuel us to overcome our limiting beliefs of what’s possible for us.

Melissa Haynes is an author, shark and animal advocate, adventurer and ghostbuster - www.melissajhaynes.com
