Artist John Gerrard created a portrait in time of SolarReserve’s solar thermal power plant located in Tonopah, Nevada. Through the use of 3D animation and a game engine, the portrait was displayed on an enormous LED wall at the Lincoln Center, in the heart of New York City. Visitors stepped through a window into an alternate world where animated mirrors performed throughout the day, dancing to collect precious sunlight so it could be stored to produce electricity, even when the sun sets.
SolarReserve's solar thermal power plant generates both electricity both day and night -- powered only by the sun.
