Quickly find seabird information and known bycatch issues! Seabirds, along with many other fauna, are captured incidentally in fisheries around the world. See our maps of case studies (http://www.fisheryandseabird.info/cas...) to learn more.

This web-based tool from American Bird Conservancy provides information on seabirds and their interactions with fisheries. Profiles for 378 species can be accessed by mapping your area of interest and pulling up a list of species for the area, or through species or fishing gear searches. The website provides a wealth of other resources to help fisheries managers understand risk and choose mitigation measures.

A series of three instructional tutorials can help you use the tool:

SMIF Tutorial 2: Explore by Species (https://youtu.be/HgBW-NPdmig)
