In 2007 the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin set out to build a unique hybrid magnet with a resistive and a superconducting coil. They looked for the best experts and partners in order to construct the world strongest magnet for neutron scattering. This magnet is now up and running, producing magnetic field up to 26 Tesla.
