For around $700 worth of material, we now have a working 3,49m wind turbine and 10m tower concept. The power output is ranging from 100-400 watts in mediocre winds, but can go much higher in stronger winds (possible well over 1000W, but probably less than 1500W) The question remains, for how long will it work...and what will break first? That is exactly the answer we seek, and is it resonably built even though on a tight budget? The results and experiences will be used to build a really big turbine, which is going to be used for electrical lightning and heating of the family house.
This test-turbine however is used to electrify the greenhouse on the farm with some light bulbs, radio, and small 200W-heaters.
The reason why the loads turning on and off is because of the digital load controller steering the loads according to the wind speed.
