MARBLE FALLS — Not enough middle-income housing and limited job opportunities for young professionals hamper progress in Marble Falls, according to surveys helping the EDC develop a strategic plan.

The results taken from various focus groups also identified positive aspects of Marble Falls, including the city's role as an economic hub, the Economic Development Corp. heard during its meeting Jan. 4.

The free data, compiled by the Lower Colorado River Authority, included interviews with public and private individuals and agencies offering responses about Marble Falls and communities in the 78654 ZIP code.
