Students and staff of the University of the District of Columbia volunteered at the recent One City Summit, sponsored by the Office of the Mayor. Students distributed literature on the many programs available at UDC, and citizens were able to see up close all the great things happening at Washington, DC's only public university. A priority for the school is in the area of sustainability. The university's sustainability office was represented by Howard Ways and Josh Lasky, who explained to visitors how UDC is moving to become the national voice in areas of urban sustainability. Several council members, including Michael Brown (At-Large), Muriel Bowser (Ward 4), and Tommy Wells (Ward 6) visited the UDC table, sporting "I Love UDC" buttons and posing for pictures.
