The IC 6071. This was the original SD40 built at EMD (GM). The SD40 was one of the most popular railroad locomotives ever. The 6071 is a historic locomotive in American Railroad history, and hopefully, when it is finally time for this locomotive to be retired, a museum gets a hold of it before scrappers. It sits on a SD35 Frame, that why it looks a little short. The first video is shot at Stephenson Street in Freeport IL, the second at East Jct in Freeport, and the third at Bolton Road, between Freeport and Lena IL.
