Police in Redding, Calif., have identified two children who have been reported missing but stopped short of identifying them as the victims found dead in a storage unit in the city on Monday.

According to officials quoted by the Redding Record Searchlight newspaper, the missing children are Delylah Tara, 3, and Shaun Tara, 6, who were under the care of a woman and a teenage boy arrested and charged in relation to alleged abuse of a 9-year-old girl.

The woman, Tami Joy Huntsman, 39, and Gonzalo Curiel, 17, of Quincy, a small town about 140 miles southeast of Redding, were arrested on charges of felony child abuse, torture and mayhem related to the 9-year-old, who was found starving and injured but alive, the Redding Police Department said in a statement on Tuesday.
