Now I call it Credits In Moscow. It's a mash-up of the Sonic 3 Credits and Instrumental version of Stranger in Moscow. Spliced together. I altered the tempo so both songs have the same tempo in the final mix. Even though the Stranger in Moscow/#Sonic3 Credits Roll connection is well known, the mix allows us to hear the similarities a lot more.

Also, the Sonic 3 and Michael Jackson connection has been confirmed. In a recent issue of Black & White (french magazine publication about Michael Jackson), Brad Buxer, a musician who was close to Michael Jackson in the 1990s and involved in the recording of Stranger In Moscow, both he and MJ did composed the chord progression for the Sonic 3 credits theme that was later used for Stranger in Moscow.

Buxer claims that MJ "was not happy with the resulting sound coming out of the console. At the time, game consoles did not allow an optimal sound reproduction, and Michael found it frustrating. He did not want to be associated with a product that devalued his music..."

Exact piece of interview here (http://vgmdb.net/forums/showthread.ph...

*B&W: Can you clarify the rumor that Michael had in 1993 composed the music for Sonic 3 video game, for which you have been credited?
Buxer: I've never played the game so I do not know what tracks on which Michael and I have worked the developers have kept, but we did compose music for the game. Michael called me at the time for help on this project, and that's what I did. And if he is not credited for composing the music, it's because he was not happy with the result sound coming out of the console. At the time, game consoles did not allow an optimal sound reproduction, and Michael found it frustrating. He did not want to be associated with a product that devalued his music...
B&W: One of the surprising things in this soundtrack is that you can hear the chords from Stranger in Moscow, which is supposed to have been composed later...
Buxer: Yes, Michael and I had composed those chords for the game, and it has been used as base for Stranger in Moscow[...]*

On October 2013, Pop Fiction created an episode of the whole ordeal (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFgnU...) and came in contact with an anonymous source directly involved in the development of Sonic 3 who claimed that MJ left before the scandal and supported Buxer's statements that he was displeased with the Genesis' sound quality. It should absolutely be watched if you're into the subject.

On January 2016, three of the six music composers associated and credited with Michael Jackson for Sonic 3, specifically Doug Grigsby III, have assured that his work is actually featured in the final version of the game, though they have not specified exactly which songs were composed by whom outside of what's already known. Michael Jackson wrote music for Sonic 3. No more conjecture. Fact.
