May 17th, 2012 - Dr. John B. King, the New York State Commissioner of Education and President of the state universtiy system, visited the Kenneth B. Clark Academy, a special education secondary school in Dobbs Ferry, earlier today.
Dr. King, who arrived on opening day of the school district's Spring Students Arts Festival, was taken on a school tour by Greenburgh-North Castle schools superintendent Dr. Edward Placke and Dr. Robert Maher, CEO of St. Christopher's, Inc. The Clark Academy is located on the ground of the St. Christopher's, a secular residential treatment center that serves as home fro many of the district's students.
