Tiny eyes is a one-man-band from Leicester in the UK. His self-titled debut EP was recorded entirely at home, using an old 1920s piano, vintage synths and percussion samples made from household objects.
"A bedroom boffin able to conjure entire universes without ever opening the door... lo-fi psychotropic pop" - Clash
"By turns evoking Lennon, Tom Waits, Elliot Smith, Flaming Lips and Tobias Jesso Jr, Tiny Eyes is a brilliant and unique new sound." - Northern Transmissions / video of the day
"psychedelic lo-fi pop delight ... [a] sophisticated nod to the ingenuous lyrical prowess of his heroes” - Fame Magazine
I woke up with a dream still chasing after me And the morning sky foretold of a catastrophe Like an arrow in my eye But hey don't shoot me down now I was just saying
That all I need Is everything I cannot have and will never be "That's funny" you reply Like you didn't hear a word that I was just saying
Well I know I talk too much And I know You think too much And I know We mess it up sometimes
But late night when I walk you home down a windy street And plastic bags go dancing past like tumbleweeds You turn to catch my eye And ask me will I stay the night "Yeah maybe..." and I smile But hey don't shoot me down now I was just saying
How this video was made: Two people, one digital SLR camera, one tripod. Lots of early morning filming to cut down on traffic and passers by. One home-made monster suit, and some randomly-positioned musical instruments.
