On one of the busiest shopping days of the year, thousands of #BlackLivesMatter protesters packed the Mall of America outside Minneapolis on Dec. 20 to call for police reform in the wake of the officer-involved deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner.
Emma Eubanks, an 18-year-old from St. Paul, spoke to Fusion about she attended the protest, what it meant to her, and what she hoped to accomplish.
