Sunil John, CEO of ASDA'A Burson Marsteller introduces the 4th Annual ASDA'A Burson Marsteller Arab Youth Survey.

The annual ASDA'A Burson-Marsteller Arab Youth Survey, launched in 2008, is the largest survey of its kind of the Middle East's largest demographic: its young people.

ASDA'A Burson-Marsteller conduct this survey every year to provide evidence-based insights into the evolving hopes, concerns and aspirations of Arab youth -- providing governments, the private sector and civil society institutions with critical information and analysis to inform decision-making and policy formation.

Every year, we continue to expand the scope and scale of the survey. For the 2012 survey, we introduced two new markets: Libya and Tunisia, both of which experienced dramatic political change as part of the wider Arab Spring movement.

In these two countries and the 10 others covered by the survey, research professionals from international polling firm Penn Schoen Berland (PSB) travelled to major cities and rural areas, speaking in-depth and face-to-face with 2,500 young Arab women and men.

Informed by these conversations, the findings of the ASDA'A Burson-Marsteller Arab Youth Survey 2012 make for fascinating reading, shedding new light on the shifting priorities of young people across this vast and vibrant region one year after the start of the Arab Spring.

Whether you are based here in the Middle East or overseas, we hope you find the survey results as compelling as we do. We encourage you to explore the full range of materials available on this website, and to contact us if you require further information.
