Here I am testing a modded Radio Shack Color Computer joystick.
The original analog stick was no longer working in this joystick so I decided to just remove the entire analog assembly from it. I then wired up some test leads from the original wires inside and fed them out the old analog joysticks hole.
I then acquired a analog thumb stick to use in its place. The model of analog thumb stick I acquired comes mounted on its own test PCB. Which I felt was a good option for me. This way I could easily drill some mounting holes into the joystick and use some PC style motherboard standoffs to then mount the PCB to the joystick.
