Sean O'Connor's invention sounds a bit strange at first: pancake batter in a whip cream style can. Some might be reminded of processed cheese and assume it's full of preservatives and other chemicals. But in fact Batter Blaster is a perishable, USDA certified organic, easy way to make pancakes. But with no other refrigerated pancake batters found in supermarkets, educating customers about this new product category presents some challenges that might be insurmountable.

Watch Sean O'Connor tell the Batter Blaster story, and then dig deeper by reading the original patent at http://www.google.com/patents/US8147893

'Inventors' is a series of portrait videos by filmmaker and photographer David Friedman, chronicling the work of contemporary inventors from all walks of life. It offers rare glimpses into the inspiration for their creations, which range from the first digital camera and first video game console to a drive-able amphibious ice-fishing vehicle.
