Well targeted strategies are the essential building blocks for achieving an organisation's Vision. Yet for many facilitators, strategic planning can be a daunting process. It needn't be.

This session will build your confidence in engaging with participants when you are facilitating a planning workshop. It will give you a flexible tool for facilitating full participation by group members in determining where their organisation is really at on its journey to achieving its Vision.

Come and have fun with a facilitation tool that Sheryl has developed over years of facilitating strategic planning sessions with a diversity of commercial and not for profit organisations.

Loosely based on a head, heart, hands model, it encourages individual participant reflection; enables all to be heard; identifies areas of weakness in a non-threatening way; and helps develop a shared understanding of the priority strategy areas to target when building capacity and capability in an organisation.

* Use a simple and effective facilitation tool for assisting a group to determine priorities for strategy development within an organisation

* Use ORID-focussed questions to facilitate translation of the priorities identified into strategies
