In the Order of Bards Ovates & Druids we learn many methods of meditation. Here is a movement meditation, inspired by our teachers the trees, that you can use, either as a spiritual exercise in its own right, or as a prelude to other meditation or movement work. Its purpose is to help you feel centred and grounded, and to help you deepen your experience of being in your body and in relationship to the natural world. It encourages the flow of life-force, cultivates peacefulness, and harmonises Heart and Mind. Each element of the meditation may be experienced for as long as you wish, and once you have mastered the simple sequence, you can deepen your experience by dwelling for a longer time on each part of the meditation. There are several phases of this meditation. This film only demonstrates the arm movements. To learn the meditation go to www.druidry.org and search for 'tree meditation' or use full URL: http://www.druidry.org/druid-way/teac... With thanks to: Charlie Roscoe for his music 'Blessed Garden' found on the audio meditation 'Sacred Nature' (available on itunes and Amazon). Charlie Carr-Gomm for filming and editing. Melinda Constant for demonstrating the movements.
