2yrs ago I listened to this song while sitting in my tub with just a candle and my body going through the worst withdrawal trying to finally get clean from the last thing I had to get off of, suboxone....dear god. That was hard. This song helped me so much. It sounded as if it was at that same level I was on but the words were like the ONLY relief I could find. Whoever is going through whatever, you can do it. I'm watching my babies play and had I not made myself endure that, who knows where we would be. Thanks Eddie🙏

PJ will have to go down as one of the all time great bands. Not many bands can give you the chills or make the hairs on your arm stand.... PJ is one of those bands!

"The way I look at it is this. On average, we have maybe 50 to 60 years on the planet. And we probably have 20 years when we're a vital presence, when you can actually do something with your life. So what are you going to do with that time? Are you gonna enjoy it, not get involved? Or are you gonna try and do something to make some other peoples' lives better than they are, even if it means going through hell? Even if those people don't even appreciate what you're trying to do. Even if you're not sure yourself that what you're doing is going to make any bit of difference. I go through cycles thinking about this. I mean, what do you have to do to remind people that one of the best things you could hear in this life is the laughter of a child? I'm always trying to understand what's happening in the world . . . When it comes down to it, you can't turn your back on what's happening. You have to do something. Jesus knows, it's tough, because you never really know if what you're doing is going to have any effect. But what's the alternative? You walk away, pretend it's not happening? Can't be done." - Eddie Vedder on the song "Indifference."

During BOOT CAMP ARMY, the DI took our personal stuff, stuck it into a an empty bay room on my platoon floor. Fire watch had access to it. After one kid sneaked in to get his CD player, I did the same. Mine had a new copy of Pearl Jam VS. in it. I hid it under my wall locker and fell asleep listening to it almost every night. At least it wasn't a JELLY DOUGHNUT.
