This is to demonstrate the difference in speeds of the 2011 Lenovo ThinkPad T420 (Sandy Bridge) against its older sibling the 2007 Lenovo ThinkPad T61 (Santa Rosa). Both systems use SSD in this test with customised Clean Install (with tweaks) and were switched on at the same time.

Intel HD 3000 GPU
Windows 7 x64 (UEFI Install)

Lenovo ThinkPad T61 Specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo T9300@2.5GHz
4GB DDR2 800MHz RAM
Intel X25-M G2 SSD 80GB
Intel X3100 GPU
Windows 7 x64 (BIOS Install)
