Created by recently returned Amizade students, this video is intended to poke fun at the embarrassing and sometimes ethnocentric statements many of us make while studying abroad. The students who created this video recognized that their experience with Amizade was a bit different. The students felt that - unique from other experiences studying abroad - they returned with less stories of "partying" and more tales of community-connection and empowerment. While it's true that study abroad sometimes gets a bad name for ignoring academics and community interaction, we know that this is not the intention of any study abroad program.

We invite you to join Amizade in our mission to empower both individuals and communities through worldwide service and learning.
