Watching some other interviews with George Bush I realised he tends to be aggressive in his interviews. This one in particular shows Bush trying to intimidate Matt Lauer with the tone of voice, body language and even the choice of words.

You can see George Bush being patronizing, pointing his finger at Matt and even getting too close thus invading Matt's personal area. Matt looks like he was going to take a step back and turns his head away from Bush as he's feeling uncomfortable and under attack.

Lauer is trying to defend his position which is reflected in the tone of his voice too and his posture. But he's having a difficult time here sounding a little bit shy and intimidated although doing his best to fight.

Matt's situation is worth a closer look also because he's limited in his efforts by certain conventions: even as a reputable journalist he knows he's talking to the President of the US.
