So I've completely "de-sporterized" the rifle (in compliance with 922(r) of course). I replaced the factory trigger group with a Tapco G2 single hook group (which is ALMOST as nice as the factory group), and swapped out the Sporter furniture for a synthetic AK-74 set from my Arsenal SGL-21 AK-47 (same furniture as used on the SGL-31 5.45X39 AK-74, and modeled off the current MIL spec AK-74 pattern furniture) while I wait for the custom spec Ironwood Designs furniture set to come in.

When the set from Ironwood comes in, I'll do a video or two on fitting the furniture to the rifle and finishing it, to complete the rifle build to its final planned configuration.

I also threaded the barrel and installed a J-TAC47 brake and using a die set and threading guide I purchased from Blackjack Buffers, LLC - one of my favorite firearms-related companies to deal with - very professional and always great service - highly recommended.

An Ultimak scout rail / gas tube was also installed (also purchased from Blackjack), as was a Burris Fastfire red dot, which unfortunately does not allow co-winess with the irons as I planned....oh well.
