In this second of a two part video series on a review of the Crosman 1377 Penumatic Air Pistol, Jack from The Survival Podcast (http://www.thesurvivalpodcast.com) performs a series of shots on water filled bottles with replays in slow motion.

The first shot is done with a Beeman RS2 Series Air Rile at 1000 fps to form a baseline of top end air gun performance.

Then the following three shots are taken with the Crosman 1377 Air Gun

4 Pumps -- About 390 FSP
6 Pumps -- About 450 FPS
10 Pumps -- About 510 FPS

This pistol has proven more than accurate enough to take small game at 30-45 feet in range. It has adequate knock down power with good shot placement on game up to the size of smaller rabbits and squirrels. I would only use it on Jack Rabbits as a last resort though. Shooting anything much larger with it would be unethical as it simply doesn't have the power to perform.

The only real downside to this gun is the rear site which can come loose and move on you. Mandatory modification would include using some locktite on the rear sites vertical screw adjustment. Other than that it is a fine gun for its intended purpose and preppers will love the fact that as a pneumatic no CO2 cartridges are required. 500 pellets are cheap and give you a lot of shooting. Whether you are hunting small game in the bush, controlling pests in the back yard or training a new shooter this is a great gun.

You can get this gun at Amazon.com for about 56 dollars; I found mine on sale at Academy Sports and Outdoors for about 35 dollars. If you choose to buy this gun online consider using my link to do so, http://www.bit.ly/crossman-1377
