An original poem, Misery, by Nordette Adams, lamenting the rise in violence in New Orleans, LA, that the poet hopes the city will overcome. New Orleans due to its many unique cemeteries is called the City of the Dead, but with its issues of poverty and crime, the phrase takes on another meaning.
