A Japanese government spokesman defended an annual dolphin hunt Monday, after U.S. Ambassador Caroline Kennedy tweeted that she was deeply concerned by the inhumanity of the practice. The anti-whaling group Sea Shepard videotaped the hunt. (Jan. 21)
