Conclusion of My recent trip back to Parris Island, SC to see my friend's son graduate from boot camp, I learned that the old 3rd Battalion barracks were empty, and slated to be torn down. With permission, I was able to go to the hallowed ground, where I and so many others were trained to be Marines. This is my journey.

Great videos Devil!! I recently went back to my barracks at MCRD San Diego with my son(how cool is that) and I can't tell you how nostalgic it was being in there after 21 years!! As I watch your videos and listen to your narrative, I can feel exactly what you're feeling, and sharing your sentiments as you revisit your old barracks at Parris Island, awesome stuff brother!!! It's sucks that they demolished those barracks being that they weren't that old, being built in 1960. Such a shame with all the Marines who have passed through those doors for 50+ years, such great history!!

Great Videos Brother. Went threw the same barracks in 2009. Have not seen the new ones, but I think the old ones where just fine. O' well Semper Fi -Cpl Davis
Thank you for these videos. I didn't know the old barracks and chow hall were getting torn down, until I stumbled upon your videos tonight. I wish I would have known sooner, so I could have taken a trip back myself. It's sad to see 3rd Battalion in that shape, but I guess change is inevitable. Thanks again and Semper Fi.
