I am going to show you how to make these cool duct tape flowers with bottle cap centers. You can pretty much use any type of duct tape; patterns or solids and any type of beads.

Supplies
Patterned Duct Tape or Solid Duct Tape
Low Temp Glue Gun
Tacky Glue
Bottle Cap
Beads
Scissors or X-acto knife
Hair Clip or Headband

Step 1
Take two pieces of duct tape cut at a 11 inches long

Step 2
Take the first piece and lay on top of the second piece. About a quarter of a inch from the top.

Step 3

Cut that piece into 5 2-inch pieces. You can measure or if you have a cutting board it makes it a little bit easier.
HINT: If you find your getting a little bit sticky. You can use baby powder. I keep a little container of baby powder and I stick my fingers into it from time to time to keep the adhesive from sticking to fingers. If you find that your cutting instrument is getting sticky use a little bit of nail polish remover on it and it will dissolve any of the excess glue that may have built up

Step 4

Once your pieces are cut you will want to make petal shapes. This is most easily done by using scissors, you need to trim the adhesive off the one side of all 5 pedals. You really do not need a pattern if you eyeball you will get a great flower petal.

Step 5

Once you have your shaped cut you want to take a piece and fold in half to mark the middle. Then take one side and fold it back on its self about a quarter of a inch. Then do the same with the other side. But be sure to watch that the pieces do not stick together. Continue through all 4 of the other petals.

Step 6

Pick out a bottle cap turn it over and stick the petals to the bottle cap, arranging them to look like a flower, over lapping the edges.

Step 7

Take your glue and fill the bottle cap with layer of glue, and then poor in the beads. Arrange them so you only have one layer. Then let seat and dry.

Once it is dry you can do a lot with this flower. You can make a hairband, hang onto your bag, put it on your purse, or anything else you want to decorate.
