Nothing like ELO even today. Jeff Lynne is an amazing talent.

It's not as good as the older stuff though. There's some really good songs on Alone in the Universe, but a few of them are really really bad. Frankly though I'm just exited to have anything new from him. Because a lot of his songs definitely called back to some of his older hits.
+U. Hinson Hes still around and making music. :)
Every time I see this opening scene, I think that this is how women really are inside. Too bad our society brings out the worst in us much of the time. If only we lived in a world where people expressed themselves so freely and openly--and without judgement.
+Sabatheus You're a man, right? Just kidding. I happen to agree.
Olivia is a Goddess...
Jeff Lynne is GOD!!!!!

30 plus years later and I'm still waiting to be kissed by my muse...

You have been...with every inspiration you get. ;)
As bad as Xanadu is, the music is kick ass! People should still watch it for the music and not the story. It's one of these films which the music really makes up for it being an awful movie. Although, it's not the worst movie ever.

God such a beautiful video and song.  I love when Olivia plays peek-a-boo.
One of my favorite bad movies. A better male lead and it would have actually worked.

I think swan did a purdy good job, for a gangsta. Haha I thought I was the only one who watched this movie.
+CandyandAngel42 One of my all-time favorites too! :oD

I remember I was nuts about this song when I was seven or eight years old.......still like it a lot:))
I remember seeing this movie when I was a kid.  A guilty pleasure uplifted with the music of ELO.  Had a mad crush on ONJ.   She was definitely my muse.  A few muses since then.

HBO showed it constantly back in the early 80s.  Made me an ELO fan.
