The Poverty Environment Initiative is providing trainings to Bangladesh's professional planners in areas such as environmental management, poverty reduction, climate change and disasters risk reduction to ensure that any project they design or decision they take promotes a more sustainable Development path.

During one week, dynamic trainings are provided to professional planners on how to design and identify a sustainable project. Moreover, planners are provided with examples of successful projects that reverse environmental degradation while adapting to climate change, and involving communities.

An Academy is being established within the General Economics Division of the Planning Commission for future generations of professional planners to be properly trained in Sustainability. To ensure any time they design or approve a development project this leads Bangladesh to a Greener and more Inclusive Economy.
