Ryo Noda, former student of legendary saxophonist Jean-Marie Londiex, wrote a series of Improvisations for solo saxophone inspired by the ancient Japanese Shakuhachi playing. In some Buddhist sects, the art of Shakuhachi is often viewed as a spiritual tool, thus I chose to approach Noda's Improvisations very delicately (especially the 3rd). I hope you enjoy this.
