Instructional video of how to adjust the side rail clamp on your RS AKM mount to fit your rifles' side rail. After mounting your RS AKM to your rifle for the first time you will notice vertical play compared to your side rail. This is normal, and will be eliminated once you fit the mount to your rifle.

**Other side rail mounts you may have used in the past were made of softer material and would adjust easily. The RS AKM mount is made from aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum and will require additional effort to fit to your side rail.**

1. Invert your rifle to be upside down and remove the mount and optic from your rifle by sliding to the rear.
2. Using a flathead screw driver or other safe pushing tool slide the locking tab off the clamp as shown in the video, retail the locking tab in a safe place.
3. Mount your optic to the inverted rifle with the remaining clamp components in place.
4. Proceed to tighten the lever as shown in the video. This may take several turns and be difficult. Tighten until you have no remaining vertical play on the mount/side rail interface. *Remember that the side rail clamp screw is a counter-clockwise bolt.*
5. Once you have tightened the mount to your rail install the lever as shown in the video making sure that the washer is beneath the lever, and that the lever is now "trapped" in-between your rifle receiver and mount.
6. Reinstall and secure your locking tab completing the clamp lever reassembly.
7. Rotate your clamp lever until it touches the receiver or side rail plate.

RS AKM Mount fits all AK rifles with standard side rails and allows: Mounting of most 30mm optics directly over the bore of your AK, lower 1/3rd cowitness and field strip without removal of the optic on most variants of Kalashnikov.
