Husband Sings His Original Song For Wedding Anniversary

A devoted husband gave his wife of 57 years an anniversary present to remember with a heart-warming original song.

Smitten Arnold Walker penned the romantic tune for Carol on their golden anniversary - October 3 2009 - but only decided to record it now, seven years later.

Recounting the first time they met, Arnold, 78, sings about seeing Carol in a drug store near his air force base in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA, in 1959.

The retired logger continues to remember their first date at a drive in movie before saying he would do the previous 50 years all over again.

Arnold, from Aberdeen, Washington, USA, said: "I wrote the song in about half an hour when Carol had gone out to get groceries for our golden anniversary BBQ.

"That was seven years ago, but I wanted to have a record of it in case we both forgot."
