www.marveena.com -- Today we are going to continue our discussion of the major arcanna in the tarot deck and we are working with the number nine card and that's the hermit card.

The hermit card is talking about the universal principle of completion, introspection, and contemplation. And it can also be talking about an experience of illumination from within and divine inspiration.

It's a virgo card and I'm a virgo so I love this card. The virgo aspect is symbolized by the wheat in the background. It talks about attention to detail, organization and the need to bring beauty into our life. When we see this three headed dog, the two heads are facing forward and one is behind and that reminds us that it's important to be complete with our path so that we can keep our focus on moving forward.

There are also the qualities of exploring the dark and unknown parts of ourself. You can think of that as exploring your shadow aspect, too. It is said that before we can experience the whole of who we truly are we do have to explore the unknown and the shadow card and to do any healing that needs to be done. The way that I was taught is that the true beauty of what we have to offer in this dimension we find in our shadow self. So, being able to meditate, contemplate and be introspective help us to mind the goals within our own self.

When you look at this card you also see the symbol of the snake that is wrapped around the egg. That is about birthing ourself anew and bringing a transformative experience and bringing new forms to birth.

You can use the number 9 in the tarot deck to help you flesh out the meaning of this card whenever you turn it up. So you can use the 9 of cups which is about happiness, the 9 of wands talks about our strength, the 9 of the disk is about gain and the nine of swords talks about how we might be sabatoging ourself.

The moon card is also important talking about being our true authentic self. So these are just a handful of the basic meanings of the hermit card. Of course, any time that this card is reversed then you are going to have a different association with it. You can explore the reversals of the tarot deck on my blog.

I also have an itunes account which has free audios. You can access both of them through my website at marveena.com. If you have questions or if you would like to schedule your own tarot reading with me send me an email or give me a call and I would be happy to set one up for you! I hope you have a really powerful day! www.marveena.com
