Dami Ajayi studied medicine and surgery at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife where he co-founded the internationally acclaimed literary magazine, Saraba. He is currently specializing in psychiatry when he is not writing poetry, short fiction, essays, music and film reviews. His writings have been published on several platforms on the internet and in anthologies worldwide. His poetry pamphlet, Daybreak and Other Poems (2013) received rave reviews and he was praised as one of the key poets of his generation. His first full-length volume of poems, Clinical Blues, was one of TIA’s Best 100 Books published in Africa from 2010-2014. He is working a novel about contemporary Lagos.
