Watch as I do a $240.00+ repair in under 20 minutes for $42.00. WARNING: I am going to TAKE APART A FULL FRAME CANON 5D Mark I. If you are one of those squeamish camera people, look away now.

Stay tuned for my next video where I will replace the actual LCD panel in a Canon 5d Mark II, not just install a new cover.

Just a few notes: I run a HEPA filter in my camera room so free floating dust isn't a huge issue in this room. If you are going to perform this repair at home and are "dust-phobic" I suggest running a hot shower in your bathroom, then allowing the steam to settle and dry. This pulls much of the dust out of the air. Try to keep opening and closing the door to a minimum. Also note it is perfectly fine to use a canned duster on the INSIDE of your camera. Also, sorry for the slightly blurry video, my video camera was loaned out to a friend and I had to use my Macbook Pro's camera.

CF Pin Assembly was sourced from Pro Photo Repair in San Diego, CA for 42.00 (including shipping). They sell via their website as well as via eBay.
