This video shows you what the suspension action looks like on a small motorcycle camper using a rubber torsion suspension. This is a Mini Mate Motorcycle Camper. More info about the camper is available at www.openroadoutfitters.com/mini-mate-motorcycle-camper or e-mail dale@openroadoutfitters.com.

Video Transcript:

Hi this is Dale with Open Road Outfitters. A lot of folks ask me about the suspension on the campers and trailers I sell.

So when I went on a lunch ride one day, I stuck a little GoPro camera on the underside of a Mini Mate camper and took it down a Virginia back road.

Many small trailers and campers, like the Mini Mate use what's called a rubber torsion suspension. This is a great solution. It's simple, so there's nothing to go wrong. It's light weight, fully independent, and requires no adjustments or user maintenance.

And I think as this video demonstrates, it's pretty effective. You can see the damping effect the suspension has on this secondary road surface which is helping keep the camera pretty steady. At speed, the tires maintain good contact with the road surface.

It works equally well on paved road surfaces, gravel, or hard pack like you typically encounter on roads in remote areas of the continent.

And it sure is nice to know that when you get where you're going, you can pop open your camper and have camp set up in just a couple of minutes.

If you'd like to learn more about the motorcycle campers I sell from Mini Mate and Time Out, stop by Open Road Outfitters dot com for more videos, pictures and testimonials from owners.

Thanks for watching. Many happy Journeys!
