Navy Commander Brain Delaney will be the next Healing Our Heroes' Homes (H3) beneficiary.


- Brian is wheelchair bound and paralyzed from the armpit down so he still has use of his arms.
- He has been with his partner Frank Havens for 15 years. They are a unique couple in many ways.
- The recent SCOTUS DOMA decision, the recent repeal of DADT, coupled with the San Diego community coming together to help restore their drastically altered lives through H3, this remodel presents a rare, timely opportunity to tell a unique story - a story that should be told.

Volunteer college students guided by volunteer contractors will come together October 16 through October 21, 2013 to perform the following remodel work on their home:
- Total remodeling of their front yard and backyard
- Construction of concrete pathway device that allows Brian access to the lower section of his backyard
- Demolition of living room tile platform for easier wheel chair access into the home and master bedroom
- Living room tile floor remodel
- Spare bathroom remodel including the widening of doorway for wheel chair access
- Complete kitchen remodel including lower cabinets and counter tops better functional use in a wheel chair
- Construction of a permanent, wheel chair accessible, concrete barbecue pit (Brian's favorite hobby)

Estimated labor and material valued at $85K
