After nearly 4 years of continuous effort, on July 18 2012 the Ilsington Village Shop opened its doors for the first time. The ribbon was cut by the Wag from Widecombe (Tony Beard) and the children from Ilsington Primary School brought a tear to our eyes with their beautiful singing. It was a very exciting and emotional day for us all and our thanks go out to everyone who helped us along the way and who continue to help us right now. Run by the community, for the community, this is a very special little shop on the edge of Dartmoor. Long may it serve you!
