In this webinar, Dr. Mirvis will discuss "culture clashes" in mergers and acquisitions: how to spot them during due diligence, how to diagnose them once a combination is underway, and how to deal with culture differences in putting companies together. Culture clashes can be a barrier to making mergers work. They can--and should--be understood and managed. Here we'll look at how culture can be assessed through measurement tools and managed through different integration strategies.
Philip Mirvis, Ph.D. is an organizational psychologist whose research and private practice concerns large-scale organizational change and the character of the workforce and workplace. A consultant to businesses in the US, Europe, and Asia, he has authored eight books on his studies including The Cynical Americans (social trends), Building the Competitive Workforce (human resource investments), and Joining Forces (the human side of mergers). He has taught at Jiao University, Shanghai, China, and the London School of Business, and the University of Michigan's Graduate School of Business. He is currently a senior research fellow at the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship
