At the beginning of the spring semester, four teams of Vassar students (mostly cog sci and comp sci majors) are given a modest budget and a challenge to build a robot from scratch that can execute a task identified by the faculty. Each team works independently to build a robot from scratch, and they compete at the annual robot competition, usually held in the Villard Room, to determine which team's robot is the most successful at completing the assigned task. In this video, the 2010 teams give their robots a trial run before an audience of Vassar trustees.
