Yes, here we get to the absolute scraping of the bottom of the barrel documentation-wise of the very last day of 81 APT, the 3rd International Neoist Apartment Festival in BalTimOre 29 yrs ago as of this writing. Whether Steve Pocock was from Zaïre or not I don't know. I remember liking Steve & I didn't know him very well. Maybe his family were wealthy exploiters of African labor. Dunno. Forgive me for even suggesting that if I'm wrong. Most likely Steve sd he was from Zaïre for entertainment's sake. Having lost touch w/ him almost immediately after this I have no idea. At any rate, he was a young guy, maybe still in his teens, & I remember this as being a reasonably well crafted performance. David Yaffe certainly wrote extensive notes about it so he must've been inspired. Unfortunately, the only abysmal visuals you'll get here are a very slowed-down shot of Steve & Yaffeot sitting next to each other during Monty's performance. The sound is a backwards playback of some post- Alien Dialects Workshop stuff. At least there's a smattering of Yaffe's description. After that, there's a list of stuff that probably didn't happen & some credits. It was CHAOS & it was GLORIOUS. You had to be there. - February 4, 2010 notes from tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE
