One thing is for sure; 80's music was a 100 times better than today's music.

Being a child of the 80's, I feel it's my duty to nitpick here.  Thomas Dolby had two other hits, "Europa and the Pirate Twins" as well as "Hyperactive!" They did chart, but not as highly as Blinded me with Science. Animotion also had other hits, notably "Let Him Go" and "Room to Move." The second one was a top 10 hit.   All secondary hits occurred in the 80's.
