The Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT) is QAGOMA's flagship international contemporary art event, and the only major exhibition series in the world to focus exclusively on the contemporary art of Asia, the Pacific and Australia.

APT2 featured more than 80 artists from East Asia (China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Taipei); South and South-East Asia (Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam); and the Pacific (Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu). Works displayed included installation, photography, video, new technology, sculpture, painting, printmaking, drawing and performance.
