Is this Britain's worst-ever parallel parker? Hilarious video shows driver struggling to get his Fiat into a space before hitting another car and smashing into a wall

Unbelievable CCTV footage shows driver trying disastrous parallel park After poor start motorist suddenly reverses and smashes into car and wall Yellow Fiat then drives away - only to come back later to clean up glass Former police officer and owner of damaged black Fiesta aghast at footage

Struggling to parallel park is a problem many motorists can relate to.

But this haphazard driver messed up the manoeuvre so badly he reversed into a wall and crashed into a parked before speeding off - before coming back to tidy up the broken glass.

Unbelievable CCTV footage filmed in West Lothian, Scotland, shows the driver of a yellow Fiat slowly trying to position his car into a gap between two cars.

As he slowly reverses to close the gap between the car behind him, he leaves a gap of around a metre between him at the pavement.

Etching forward again to straighten up, he suddenly reverses rapidly and turns - smashing into a wall and side-swiping the black Fiesta behind.

Retired prison officer Walter Cunningham, who owns the black Fiesta, said his friend filmed the incident on a CCTV camera mounted outside his home.

'It was awful seeing him ruin my motor like that, especially as I could do nothing to prevent it', the 59-year-old from Bo-ness in Scotland said.

'In the video, you see a yellow Fiat drawing into a large parking space, manoeuvre back to get a better position, and then suddenly reverse at speed turning his car.

'The driver then side swipes my black Fiesta and mounts the kerb, only narrowly missing a woman and child walking her dog.

'Bizarrely, he then parked further down the street before returning to the scene on two separate occasions.

'You can see that he checks my car before kicking the broken fog lamp glass to the curb.

'He looked pretty flustered to me, but after a quick clean-up operation, he just walks away.'
