Glasgow's Kim Clark made her second consecutive Song For Europe appearance with this classic. Were it not written by Richard Gillinson, who wrote her 1979 entry, Fantasy, which came second to Black Lace with Mary Ann, the author would've been done for plagiarism as it is very similar. That said, it's a fabulous song and finished third in the 1980 contest, narrowly losing out to Prima Donna and Maggie Moone in what was the best of the Song for Europe era as all of the top four were deserving of representing the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest in The Hague.
