his rare, perhaps overlooked, small owl inhabits the
high elevation cloud forest and
open pastures with scattered trees of the Talamanca Mountains and
the Central Volcanic Range in Costa Rica. Very few photos
and videos have been made of this species.
There is a lot to learn about these
fascinating creatures!
