This is a piece of stream-of-consciousness rap. For sense to be made of it, you can't just take the lyrics at face value. That being said, it's also supposed to be good just to listen to, even if you don't get the deeper meaning. I've been listening to a lot of Aesop Rock and MF DOOM, so that's where my inspiration for the piece came from.
I'd love your comments, questions, and general opinion, so please feel free to say something!
Lyrics: The jello like beat, feet of Spike mellow, On the mic a fellow, green-yellowed eyes, hello? Hell no Re-shelve it, like the day you can't delve in Overwhelmed an' at the helm Combat the elm Melvin And I don't even care Put a gift in hand, I think I'd call that bit fair. To share, not one thing with this mare It's hot, the bell rings, but my life isn't there Blinded yet reminded of the journey Get finded on a gurney if you ever try to turn me Don't burn me, I got the flame, the fame, it follows The name alone makes other dragons straight swallow It's all the same, take it that I'm growing up And throwing up, reason in my mind isn't showing up But blowing up, the season rhymes with a splinter, A rat who knows that it's just another winter But backing up, these lyrics ain't stackin' up, I'm crackin up' To be frank, my cortex is just jackin' up I thank the gust of the vortex of love 'Cause it's a Rarity, that gave me grace from above I know it seems my rhymes are pretty vicious, I mean my spitty lines are turnin' heads like Owloysius Yet my wish is for the city folk to take the time to hear me But like Luna back on Nightmare Night the fillies wanna' fear me It doesn't cheer me, I'm the same, no blame game to play Let me say, my name's a dime a dozen today You get me? I move forward, no repeatin' The groove is mightier than the sword, and I'm defeatin' Any attacks you toss me I chew up your words and get your marefriend to floss me Don't you boss me around, 'cause my opposable thumbs Will help me beat your flank harder than an army of drums Rum like the raisin The music is the batter and my spirit is the glaizin' It's amazin' that it matters and you won't hear it Tunnel vision spies badder than the one near it You fear it? You don't care and I ain't blame you It's the same shoe but different feet that lead 'em to defame you It's a shame too, I'm sick enough to be illegal And I knew the game was true like Princess Platinum was regal So then I'll tie it all together Spike is on the mic, and his bullets are a header I'll do you one better You learned your lesson; I bet you Celly's waiting for her letter
